Chancellor Racing, LLC Syndicate |
Chancellor
is a 2004 colt by Deputy Minister, out of Cozzene’s
Angel making him a half brother to G1 SW Toccet. Bred in KY
by Griffin Place and Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm, he was
syndicated by Griffin Place as a yearling. We call our syndicate
Chancellor Racing.
We are fortunate to have a great group of people to go racing
with us, and we have had a lot of fun doing so. Some of our
partners have raced their own horses for years and others
have never owned a horse before so it is an interesting mix.
We continue to have fun racing in southern California. What
a thrill it was to stand in the paddock at Del Mar and then
better yet to win a race there! We are looking forward to
another fun year.
3/1/08. Chancellor won the 1 ½ mile
allowance race at Santa Anita in very gritty fashion. He fought
hard coming down the stretch and after dueling back and forth,
took charge and won convincingly. Unfortunately, while galloping
out after he crossed the finish line, he took a bad step fracturing
the sesamoid bone on his left front leg. We look forward to
an uneventful recovery and then a new career as a stallion.

| RARE BEAR |
 |
Rare Bear |
This
2006 filly is by Slewdledo out of our mare Lady Beverly. The
last time we kept a filly to race, was in 1999, so we are
really looking forward to this. Rare Bear’s name is
a result of Terry’s love of flying. She was named, with
permission from the owner, after the airplane that won the
Reno Air Race in September 2007. We hope to see her running
at Emerald Downs as this summer.
